Opened in 2005, Bierhaus is Galway's original craft beer bar.

24 taps pouring local and international beer, a selection of Irish gins, seasonal wine, and cocktail menu are all on offer.

Dust hasn’t fully settled, maybe it never will ? was pretty rowdy, pretty emotional, pretty pretty and pretty life affirming. We won’t sh*te on here too much, but just gotta give so much thanks and love to the 2 realist guys, and have been the heart beat of the music in this town for decades. So much respect, the inspiration/perspiration ratio matrix fluxes deep in ye lads, thanks for showing us how to do it. Shoutout too to for the epic audio, clear yet powerful. Shoutout to all the acts that play their hearts out, and whose generosity enable us to keep it a free gig. Shoutout to all ye dancers that behaved and treated our staff with curtesy and respect. Shoutout to Galway, and shoutout to grafters and goers. Lastly big up for the support ! Bless

This Sunday we celebrate International Women’s Day in with a very special menu. Head Chef will be paying tribute to the women that raised her by recreating their dishes. Her Grandmothers Daphne and Jeanne, her mother Suzanne and great Aunt Peggy’s recipes inspire Alex’s journey to this day. And she, and Suzanne will share them with you from 4 to 7 this Sunday. All food proceeds will be donated to DVR Galway. Walk ins only xoxo

Here ye, hear ye. After a lil hiatus, the iconic Lil Belgiumhaus returns !!!! A celebration of one of the most famous and fascinating beer cultures in the world. Tap line up is looking incredible, the speciality food menu as always will slap. No bookings, just come thru, Kicks off Tuesday 3rd and runs til Friday 6th March.

Here Stoutheads, it’s yer favourite time of year ! Stouthaus returns for its 8th iteration this Tuesday 25th !!! 24 taps, all stout, from pastry to plum, barrel aged to imperial. As usual the kitchen menu will completely flip, and the menu is looking incredible. Come thru xoxo special shout out to our designer Kate originally from Galway, lives in Austin Texas, and creates all posters, menus and labels. And we’re incredibly proud to be repped by her, and off all the work she produces. LYSIB x

Just one more sleep folks !!! Snack Week 2 is upon us. This year’s homage to Mexican cuisine kicks off tmr Monday 15th, and runs til Thursday evening. So just a bit of house keeping, there are no bookings unfortunately, but just walk in and we’ll do our best to keep things moving. Separately, a note of caution, we will have shellfish and peanuts in the kitchen, so if you have one of those serious allergies, perhaps this event would be wise to steer clear of. Other than that, all ye gotta do is pull up !! Menu is top class from and and we’re very excited to take care of ye. Hasta Manaña !!! Xoxo

Snack Week is back !!!! September 15th to 18th we’re flipping the kitchen in . From the brains of in Haus chefs and we’re going very Mexico. Expect traditional authentic delicious grub from one of the great cuisine powerhouses on Earth. It’ll just be walkins, so no need to book, more details to follow ! PS will also have their official launch so get involved!

Today Friday 29th August, 2025, nearly 9 years to the day, is last day in the trenches with us in . Markus arriving was a complete game changer down bierhaus way. Levelled up so many aspects of our pub, and he will be irreplaceable. Hasn’t sunk fully in yet, so words are hard, but we’ll miss you dear friend, and we know your next move will be just as impactful and inspiring. I know he’s made so many of out there happy and welcome, and I know he wants to see ye, so if ye passing, pop in and say “g’luck to ya” .
