DJ RAFA MAFRA
"Music is what feelings sound like..."

Hailing all the way from Curitiba in South Brazil, DJ Rafa Mafra has made more than an impact on Dublin’s club scene.

With his passion for House Music firmly rooted in Progressive Tech House and Progressive Tribal House, in less than 3 years he became one of the most requested djs in Ireland.

In his short and intense career, DJ Rafa Mafra played in great venues around Ireland, UK, Brazil and Czech Republic. In Dublin venues as Tripod, Button Factory, Andrew’s Lane Theatre, Lost Society, Sheeben Chic, Twisted Peppers, Pantibar, The Globe, The Dragon, The Industry, The Kitchen, Turks Head, Lemon Jelly, Vanilla Club and Purty Kitchen. Outside Dublin, The Forum Waterford, Barkleys and Eden Limerick. In London-UK he played in Shadow Lounge for Salvation, one of the biggest eletronic nights in England. In Prague Czech Republic he played In Angels Club and in Brazil for DLED Balneario Camboriu, one of the biggest clubs in the South of Brazil.
He also was one of the djs in Milk Festival 2010, the first gay outdoor festival in Ireland.
In 2012, DJ Rafa was part of the theatrical play DISCOnnected were he played "himself". The play was part of Dublin Fringe Festival, the most important theatre festival in Ireland.

As resident of Studio54 Ireland, Rafa played beside great names as Fragma (Tocas Miracle), Paul Coals, Miswhite and Zack Hadley (Salvation London), Alex Meyer (DLED Brazil) and local names as Renny Cardenas, Fabio Leal, Miguel Gonzales, Paddy Scahill, Push, Danny Alonso, Massi, Arte Arthur, Sarah Lenox and Karl McEvoy.

Rafa is resident of Studio54-Ireland and Bukkakke, two of biggest eletronic nights in Ireland.
He also plays for LokaBoat and Studio54 Sunrise, after parties that take place in Polizei Boat in Dublin Docklands, for Biddy Barnet After Party at Slaterrys and Secret After Party that happens in different venues around town.

Unlike the more commercial DJ’s on the club circuit, special respect exists for DJ Rafa Mafra because of his loyalty to his playlists and his belief in himself as an entertainer. He doesn’t just play, he mixes and produces his own blend of music in a way that only adds to the quality of the track. It’s very rare to experience a live set from a DJ that displays such passion and energy whilst he feeds his crowd with the infectious beats they crave for so much.
