🎉 Still on a high after Monday night’s All-Ireland Final of the 2026 Irish Restaurant Awards at the Clayton Hotel, Burlington Road.

We were absolutely delighted to bring home Best Gastro Pub in Munster for Merry’s. A very special moment for us, and one we’re still trying to take in.

It was also an incredible night for Waterford. The Déise really did steal the show, with receiving the Outstanding Achievement Award, named Local Food Hero, and winning Best Casual Dining. What a night for Waterford food and hospitality.

A massive thank you to our brilliant team at Merry’s, and to every customer who continues to support us, recommend us, fill the place with life and keep coming back. We’re so grateful.

There was a lovely bit of history in the room too. Pictured in the second photo is Mary, who worked in the original Burlington Hotel for 52 years. She would have been there when my parents got married in the Burlington, and when my mother celebrated her 21st birthday there back in the day.

A gorgeous little full-circle moment on a night we won’t forget. 🥰
