As we descend into the last few days of the year, it is a great time to reflect on the farming year and take stock of decisions we made and the outcomes we achieved.

2021 will be looked back on fondly as being a year of fine weather, great quality and good prices, the holy trinity of outcomes which only come around once every decade or so.

Lore and legend seeped deep within the ground, and the Cooley mountains enveloped Dromiskin with this beautiful field of Erigal spring barley.

We want to pay homage to all who worked hard and the endless hours spent processing these crops. These are the heroes who make excellent whiskey genuinely possible as the grain starts with them.

Looking back at , Loughran Family Malt produced the grains of Barley at Lyons family farm near Dunboyne, the home of Alltech Crop Science and Pearse Irish whiskey.
