Totally jingled things up this year with a late lunch open from 2.30pm @ €35pp
We turn the bar around at 6.30pm for our drinks and Finger Food package @ €39pp to include finger food and 3ndrinks per person

💔 A tough day for small hospitality 💔

Today we got hit with a court summons over an alleged €9000 balance on our commercial rates — part of this year’s €14,000 bill. To say we are a bit floored would be an understatement.

On foot of a warning letter back in September, we paid a further €4500 and brought our account up to 75% of the charge for the calendar year. As there was no follow-up letters, no phone calls and no solicitor contact, we believed we were in good standing and had some breathing space to pay the final amount of €4500 by year end.

Fast forward to today Court Summons arrived . 'SKIP GO , STRAIGHT TO JAIL "

In 13 years of business, we’ve:
👥 Employed hundreds (maybe thousands) of amazing people
🏗️ Built six companies
🏗️ Due to industry challenges we unfortunately closed two in an orderly manner.
💰 Paid every single debt owed — with DCC being no exception!

So yes, today stings. Not because we won’t pay — but because of the heavy-handed treatment given to small, independent businesses just trying to survive.

To everyone who supports local: you’re keeping this industry alive.
Every coffee, pint, and meal you buy from small venues keeps real people working and doors open.

We’ll keep fighting — for fairness, for hospitality, and for the community we love.
