I'm very amused by the number of people tagging me about this guy today. I do hope I'll bump into him on my own tour at some stage!

In what can only be described as a herculean effort, Japanese man Yuya Abe is attempting to have a drink in every Dublin pub. We presume that this means around the city centre area. Yuya popped into our timelines twice i nthe last few days and piqued our interest in his quest.

It's been a while since there's been an update from me on how I'm getting on with my mission. I've had a drink in more than 150 Dublin pubs now but the momentum is falling. In the last two months I have been to a few but I forgot to post so I'll catch up with those this week.

Last night Mandy and I hit town for a girls night. Mandy isn't a huge fan of pubcrawling (oddly) so I wasn't expecting to tick off many more but we made it to 4 new ones on the list!

We started off in The Foggy Dew as it's a favourite of Mandy's though I have ticked this one off previously. Busy as usual but we were in the humour for a bit of a bop so after 4 vodkas each we headed on. At €5 a vodka here it was definitely our cheapest round of the night...

Thirsty Thursday. It's 2 drinks for a tenner here in Liz's local. Not many pubs left in Tallaght with this whole recession thing but if you were stuck with this to go to you're not doing too bad.
Meeting friends later for dinner and the flicks so just warming up for that.

The second and third pubs in Lucan yesterday were O'Neill's and Kenny's.
O'Neills was a busy enough local. We were sitting in the front but apparently there was a bigger lounge to the back. Just a short here before heading on next door.
In Kenny's we had two rounds (well Kelly had one pint of Guinness, Mandy had two vodkas and I had two Corona). A much plusher pub than O'Neills but not as busy. Just a few people having dinner.

Started off today with some drinks in Lucan with my sister Kelly and Mandy. This place has three very different bars. We were in the sports bar which was nice. Not a place to walk in high heels. Who puts cobblestones on the floor in a pub? Drunks have a hard time walking straight as it is.

Tonight I went out with Mandy for one after work. And actually only had one! Stop the press!

We sat and had our pints at the bar in Dakota Bar (5.50 each for a Bud and Heineken) and had a general catch up. If we'd been out for more than one I might have had a cocktail.

Amanda has decided that propping the bar makes her mopey so next time we'll at least face the rest of the crowd. A lot of our swift drinks lately have been in quiet pubs with not a lot of opportunities to people-watch so perhaps we were too out of practise! Dakota was busy enough tonight, you could still find the odd seat but just about. Quiet crowd though.

I could have stayed out longer myself, but alas, we did just say one.

Before I flew off to Vegas I did have a quick drink with Mandy in O'Sullivans on Westmoreland. A pint each first, followed by a bottle.
Beautiful pub actually, if small, and there is live music on in the evenings. Quiet night there last Wednesday though.

This weekend I'll be celebrating one year of a pub crawl. Unfortunately, my usual crutches are all away!! So if anyone fancies seeing some new pubs with me let me know!!
