This afternoon, we were pleased to welcome Tánaiste Simon Harris, alongside Ministers Norma Foley and Peter Burke, to Cafe Presse for lunch ahead of the hospitality VAT rate returning to 9% from midnight.

For restaurants, cafés and hospitality businesses across Ireland, this is a welcome and much-needed change. With rising costs and continued pressure on the industry, this marks an important step in helping businesses continue to do what they do best.

We’re grateful for the visit and the opportunity to discuss the future of hospitality, alongside The Restaurant Association of Ireland.
