It will be open to all bands that require no more than 10 channels on a desk. The competition will be run over a month, so week 1, 2, and 3 will be the preliminaries and week 4 will be the winners of the first 3 weeks up against each other. The prizes for the first 3 weeks will be €50 drink voucher. On week 4 the prize will be as follows, you will get a weekend gig in the Submarine which you will
be paid €300 for and you will also win two rehearsal sessions in Loop Studio’s. One, 12-5pm and one 5-11pm. This competition is open to over 18’s only. This is how the voting works. It will be done through Facebook, and you will have to check in on your smart phone to be able to vote. At the end of the night pictures of the bands will go up on facebook and whoever gets the most likes will win. Only the people who are checked in will be able to vote. We have free wifi so you don’t have to worry about credit. This is just the core of the competition; we will have the first 3 monthly winners go up against each other in a quarterly competition where there will be a two day recording session as one of the prizes also from Loop Studio’s. The quarterly competition winners go up against each other in a big end of year competition which will have judges and big prizes. This competition is for you, to give you the chance to break through and who knows maybe the first steps towards finding yourself on the pages of Hot Press one day. This is what we got;

We supply almost everything to make this as open a competition as possible and we also pay and supply a sound engineer, so you don’t have to worry about the use of a new system. We ask from you be at sound check for 7.30pm and to keep your set to 30 minutes only. The gig will run from 9pm to 11pm and votes will be counted after. Remember bring your friends and family. The more votes you get the more chance you have to win.
