Seven years ago this May weekend, we ran our first BalladFest to a crowd of about 800 people in Citywest hotel. The initial and only aim at the time was put some of our smaller bands and acts from Peadars onto a big stage. Since then we filled the National stadium two years in a row, transformed it into a weekend event and filled The Devenish in Belfast in 2024 and 2025. We fulfilled a promise to take it to Glasgow for 2026 and had another two great nights in Grace's. My plan for 2027 was to wrap it up with one big night in Dublin. Sadly we've clashed heads with a few musicians and promoters over the years and we don't all get on like we used to, so selling tickets to cover the cost of these gigs is not as easy for us anymore. We're getting a lot of calls, messages and emails asking us about next years show but I haven't secured a venue yet and still haven't decided what the plan is. As soon as I make a final decision, I'll have it up on all our socials. Just wanted to say Thank you to all the people who travel for this event every year and all the bands, acts and promoters that have stuck with us💚
