Most people know Hugh as the architect, the one from the telly. He was more than that. He was the most generous, funny, kind, and gentle man to know. He always had time for a photo or a quick chat with a fan. When we said we were going to do some painting, he showed up with his colour charts. He lit up any room he walked into. He smiled at strangers, and they smiled back. He waved at passers by while having dinner. Hugs were frequent and sometimes without warning. He entertained. The community loved him and he loved us back. To be able to sit and laugh with Hugh was one of our greatest privileges, and we will never forget that. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends, and with his soul mate and beloved husband Martin.

It's with mixed emotions that we announce the closure of Yew Tree with our last trading day being the 31st August.
After careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to cease operations. With so many costs spiralling out of control, we simply cannot keep the doors open any longer. While this marks the end of our lovely business in Terenure, we are so proud of what we have accomplished together. We have made many friends and built great relationships with the people of Terenure. We've created so many memories that we will always treasure. A huge thanks to our staff and suppliers for your loyalty and trust it has meant everything to us. Thank you all for being part of our journey, and we hope to see as many of you as possible before the 31st.

We're making some changes !
At this time of year, business is a bit quieter, and we eat a bit differently. So some changes are needed, and we hope to offer great value each day.
One of the changes to our food service is to offer our very popular Sips & Smalls menu as Early Bird each Friday and Saturday. ( still running all day Wednesday & Thursday)
All items on our Small plates menu will run all day Sunday.
Sunday Roast will run over a shorter time on Sundays, 1pm until 5pm.
Our Sharing Steak is back, each Friday & Saturday @ €65 for 2 including sides and wine.
