Is a Real Irish Pub Just Green Décor? Myth: Put up a shamrock, paint the wall green, and call it an Irish pub. ☘️❌

Reality: Real Irish pub design is rooted in proportion, warm timber tones, lighting hierarchy, and rich history and a story which we tell through every inch of our design. 🪵💡

For over 30 years, we’ve been defining what authentic Irish pub design actually means. No gimmicks—just genuine Irish craftsmanship shipped directly to your location. Ask our clients who have had their pubs leading the charge for over 3 decades and more!

Find someone who looks at you the way Robbie looks at a spindle moulder. 🎶🛠️

Sound on for the rhythm of true craftsmanship. Where Robbie breaks down why off-the-shelf just doesn't cut it when you're crafting authentic, bespoke Irish pubs. From custom cutting heads to precision grinding, if it makes a pub unique, it runs through the machinery.

"If you buy off the shelf, everyone can do it. When you run it yourself, it’s unique." — Robbie on craft, passion, and a very deep affection for the spindle moulder. 🛠️🎶

☘️ 29 years of Mulligans… and still going strong! 🍻✨

29 years ago, we created a very special Irish pub in Gran Canaria. Today, Mulligans is an institution, loved by locals and visitors alike, and known far and wide for its unmistakable Irish spirit.

A year ago, we returned to Mulligans to begin a very special journey: giving this much-loved pub a glow-up! ✨ From expanding the seating areas to extending the bar, the renovation was all about creating more room for great times, while preserving the soul, spirit and welcoming atmosphere that have made Mulligans feel like home for nearly three decades.

Because a true Irish pub doesn’t lose its character with age… it only gets better! ☘️❤️

Happy Birthday, Mulligans! 🎂🍻 And a huge congratulations to the entire team for keeping the Irish spirit alive and showing the world what makes a great Irish pub truly timeless.

Here’s to many more years of great pints, great people and unforgettable memories! Sláinte! 🍻🇮🇪

👀 Quiet on here… but definitely not behind the scenes! 🍀

We know, we know… our socials have been a little quieter than a pub on a Monday morning! 🍻😂

But trust us, we’ve been busy building, designing and bringing Irish pubs to life around the world. 🌍🔨

We’re dusting off the socials, getting back into the swing of things and getting ready to share more of what we’ve been up to.

So, keep your eyes peeled… we’ve got plenty to catch you up on! 👀✨

When every corner has the potential for a great story. 🍻

There’s something special about a pub that rewards you for looking closer. Every corner, every piece of furniture, every bit of bric-a-brac and every little detail has a part to play.

This beautiful Italian pub is a great example of what happens when craft, character and storytelling come together in the right way.

At the Irish Pub Company, we don’t just create pubs — we create places that feel like they’ve been there forever, with stories waiting to be discovered.

We create the best pubs in the world. 🌍

And we’re pretty proud of that.

Studies reveal that 94% of first impressions are design-related, underscoring the significance of a well-crafted concept. We will just leave this fact here...

It’s so bloody exciting when you get to this stage. 🔥

Wrapped, packed and sitting on site — just waiting to be unveiled. This is the final part of the process, when months of drawings, ideas, making, problem-solving and graft become a real pub.

We’re at this stage on a couple of projects coming towards the finish line and there’s nothing quite like seeing all those individual pieces come together.

At the same time, we’re already getting stuck into some brand-new concepts that have us seriously excited — not least because of the locations, but also because of the design bravery and ambition of the clients involved.

That combination of a great location, a bold brief and a client willing to push the boundaries is where things get really interesting.

More to come. 🍻

Germany… we’re on the way!

Delighted to be packing this wonderful new pub into a shipping container this week — and we’re really looking forward to showing you how all the individual pieces we design and create come together to make a proper Irish pub.

From joinery, glass and furniture to lighting, flooring, bric-a-brac, signage and everything in between, there’s a huge amount of work, craft and detail packed into this build.

And of course, our fit-out crew bring a bit of the craic along with them too! 🍻

We’re so looking forward to seeing The Harp & Hound come to life in Germany and showing off the finished pub before the year is out.

Next stop: Germany!

Ever wondered why not every Irish pub looks the same? 🍀

In this reel, Mel takes us back to where it all began—and the five Irish pub styles that have shaped pubs around the world.

🏡 Cottage Style – cosy, welcoming, and full of rural charm.
🍺 Brewery Style – inspired by Ireland’s great brewing traditions.
✨ Victorian Style – elegant, detailed, and rich in character.
🏪 Shop Style – a nod to the original pubs that began life as local shops.
☘️ Celtic Style – the one we created ourselves… because every tradition has to start somewhere!

But today, the magic happens when we bring these styles together. We blend the very best elements of Irish pub heritage—combining the warmth of the cottage, the character of the Victorian era, the authenticity of the brewery, and the charm of the traditional shop pub—to create something completely unique.

Because an Irish pub isn’t about copying the past… it’s about keeping the spirit of it alive.

Built in Ireland. Inspired by tradition. Created for the world. 🍻
