Whelehans Wines was launched in 2014 by David Whelehan in the flagship location of the Silver Tassie in South County Dublin. David has been submerged in the world of wine for over 40 years. Tutored by his father ‘TP’ he learned the rudiments of wine tasting at an early age and continues to fine tune his palate daily. David has built up a great team of knowledgeable and enthusiastic wine professionals and with their help he has built up one of the most exciting wine offerings in Ireland. The company ships eighty percent of the wines they offer directly from some of the world’s greatest and most highly awarded wineries. The company developed organically and now encompasses a highly awarded Wine Bar, Wine school, Corporate Gift Division and a fledgling Wholesale company. The company’s tagline is ‘Great Wine, Great Taste we take great service as a given and are only too pleased to go the extra mile.
