Grange Golf Society

Our final outing of the year fell foul of the weather gods,however we were not to be outdone.
Instead we had an indoor pitch and putt competition.
I'm sure all would agree that it was great craic and with Dj Des on the decks it turned out to be a great occasion.
Congratulations to our worthy winners of Tadgh Ryan and Eoghan Jeffers, although truth be told I think everyone was a winner on the night .
Thanks to Con and the Grange for facilitating this event ,no one knows what the future holds unfortunately,but we can only hope and pray that the society and the bar will continue to exist.
Thanks to all of ye that made the society what it is, thanks for all the wonderful memories, ye are truly a great bunch of lads.

Our Christmas outing is fast approaching.

In light of recent events,this unfortunately could very well be our last outing 😱
Therefore we are encouraging all members to please make the effort to support this event,and make it a truly memorable occasion.

Thanks to everyone that travelled to Kenmare for Tadgh Ryan's Captain Prize.
I'm sure all would agree twas mighty Craic.
A few words of thanks to all those that sponsored prizes, especially Tadgh who went above and beyond with his fabulous prize,which was won by Eddie Walsh with a magnificent score of 47 pts.
A special word also to Con Cronin and The Grange Bar.
Thank you for your wonderful hospitality yet again.

For the very first time,we had a Friday outing with a visit to Mahon yesterday.
The feedback has been immensely positive and certainly lends itself to future Friday outings going forward.
Very good turnout ,very pleasant weather,and very impressive scores.

Lads our next outing is on Friday July 25th at Mahon Golf Course .
Tee off is between 3 and 4.
It's a singles stableford event.

This to the best of my knowledge will be the very first time we've had an outing on a Friday,so we are really hopeful of a large turnout.
Presentation will take place back in The Grange around 9pm on the night.

Almost all accomodation for Kenmare has been taken up.
€ 90 deposit needed by Tuesday as myself and Ger are away on holidays from then.

What a magnificent day we had yesterday for our trip to Mitchelstown for Con Cronin's Presidents Prize.
Despite the recent bad weather,the course was in great condition and a special thank you to everyone that travelled and made it a fabulous outing.
A special word of thanks to Con for supplying the refreshments prior to the round and also for the food that he provided after the presentation of prizes.
Thanks also for the magnificent prize that he provided.
Congratulations to John Hughes who prevailed on the day with a great score of 39pts,holding off the challenge of Con (2nd) and Barry (3rd)

What should have been our 2nd outing of the year is now our very 1st outing due to the cancellation last month of our trip to Mahon.

Con Cronins "Presidents Prize" is being held at Mitchelstown Golf Club on Saturday April 26th at 11.30

*€35 includes golf and complimentary tea/coffee and scone*

Looking forward to seeing as many of ye as possible at the golf and the presentation which will take place back in the Grange

It was with bitter disappointment that yesterday's outing didn't go ahead.The good news however is that we have been able to organise another date for a trip to Mahon.

Friday July 25th
Tee time : 3-4 pm

Presentation of prizes back in the Grange later that night.

This will be a first for the society,in that we have never had an outing on a Friday before.
Hopefully it will prove to be a success,and going forward it might happen more often.

In the meantime our next outing is Con Cronin's "Presidents Prize" at Mitchelstown on Saturday April 26th
