“Dublin’s John Francis Flynn and Patrick ‘Paahto’ Cummins, aka Paahto & The Bull, have been playing together for several years now, but “The 123” is their first recording as a guitar duo — and it’s a tremendous one. The material here spans centuries, from tunes likely played in the eighteenth century to melodies that crossed the Atlantic into Old-time fiddle repertoires. What holds it all together is the decision to strip everything back to two acoustic guitars. No banjo, no fiddle, no percussion. The result is a fresh, wood-sounding warmth that lets these tunes retain their core character.”

Absolutely delighted to get this legend down to the Green Room. Barry is a stunning performer and incredible artist in many mediums. Singer, painter, multi-instrumentalist. He’s always blown me away with the powerful conviction in his voice and his mastery of guitar and pipes to name a few.

Barry’s music draws deeply on Irish tradition, landscape, folklore and storytelling, while his original compositions have been recorded and performed by some of the finest artists in the folk world.

Subterranean Soul presents: Shane Johnson Fish Go Deep

House legend Shane Johnson has been moving dance floors for over three decades.
His 1990’s DJ residency with Greg Dowling at Sir Henry’s introduced a generation of Irish clubbers to house music and played host to some of the biggest names on the international underground circuit.

As one half of Fish Go Deep along with Greg Dowling they have had over 60 releases on highly respected labels(Innervisions, Local Talk, Freerange, Nite Grooves, Strictly Rhythm and Om Records). Along with remixes for house luminaries Kerri Chandler, Alton Miller, K-Alexi and Charles Webster, to name a few.

We can't wait to get Shane into the Green Room booth this September.
