First Brewery Drop 🍻
From day one, our ambition was to host Ireland's first and biggest international brewery festival and to attract some of the biggest names in the global beer industry. This year will be no different.
On the 5th & 6th August, some of the biggest and smallest brewers in the industry will come together in Sligo to connect and re-engage with the Irish beer community, while having a seriously fun weekend.
While some are established as global industry leaders, and others are just breaking onto the scene, all of them are people and breweries we admire and we know you’ll do the same. In fact, there were so many we wanted to bring that we’ve grown the numbers to 28 breweries in total this year!
So, here are the first 3 breweries attending HAGSTRAVAGANZA this year!
Dick Mack’s, IRE
First up, we are very excited to have the crew from Dick Mack's Brewhouse in Di**le up to the festival this year. We were first introduced to Finn and Aussie 2 years ago and have kept in regular contact, while trying to figure out how to get their beer to Sligo. With them surely being one of the most iconic brew pubs in Europe, we can’t wait to see this young brewery make the trip up the Wild Atlantic Way!
Stigbergets, SE
Hailing from the Swedish city of Gothenburg, Stigbergets Bryggeri began brewing on a tiny scale in 2012 but didn't become a beer geek wish list staple until 2016, when they brewed their GBG Beer Week IPA for the Göteborg festival. This must-have beer opened the world’s eyes to their superb hazy, hoppy beers and now they are one of the best regarded breweries in Scandinavia.
Carbon Brews, HK
Next up, we have Carbon Brews from Hong Kong who began their journey to create innovative beers in 2018. We first met the team from Carbon last year, as Galway native and brewer Conor Hogan brought a batch of their beers to the brewery and we had a catch up. We're excited to have our first brewery from Hong Kong at the festival and it's one you're going to enjoy!
Limited tickets available now on Eventbrite.
We’ll see you back here next week for another brewery drop!
