‼️‼️Fathom Line closed from 9am to 6pm today Saturday 4th July with no notice given. ‼️‼️

Not satisfied with it being closed Monday to Friday this past 3 weeks, now we are being subjected to our weekend trade being decimated also.

Ferryhill Road and Flagstaff Road absolutely full of weekend traffic.. roads not designed for this type of heavy traffic.

While we understand that it’s important to have improvements made to one of the worst roads in the country we were promised local access for residents of the Fathom Line.. this has been refused on occasion when residents were attempting to get to their places of work.

We’ve attempted to contact the DOE to see if the road is closed again tomorrow however the number on the letter provided to us concerning local access during the works is not available and hasn’t been since work commenced.🤷🏻‍♀️

Definitely not good enough from either the DOE or the contractor Gibsons..
