Hodgins Sausages is a family run business based in Mitchelstown Co. Run by craft butcher Mervin and his wife Monica, Hodgins employs over 30 people in their new purpose built factory outside Mitchelstown. Hodgins has made its way from a small local butcher to successful national brand, breaking into a highly competitive market dominated by very big players. "I think it all goes back to quality" states Mervin, "Now more than ever, people want to know where their food is coming from - our products are made from choice pork cuts, and have an exceptionally high meat content. The Hodgins range is constantly expanding and now includes a great tasting range of Gluten Free puddings and sausages, registered by the Coeliac Society of Ireland, as well as a delicious Low Fat sausage, ideal for weight conscious consumers.
