L'Atitude 51

L'Atitude 51 A Natural Wine Bar & Wine Shop in the heart of Cork City, serving exciting wines and seasonal small

Fully-Licenced Award Winning Wine Bar and Live Music Venue set in a historic building, formerly home to the famous Lobby Bar. Our philosophy is simple: to share our passion for great wine and honest and simple food in a fun, friendly and relaxed environment. We have an extensive selection of wines from every corner of the globe, all carefully sourced, with over 50 available by the glass. We serve

great craft beer and cider, superb locally roasted Badger & Dodo coffee, homemade pastries freshly baked each morning, big posh sandwiches and small sharing platters with a marked French, Italian & Irish influence and plenty of “attitude”. We use the best artisan ingredients, sourced locally where possible. Alongside the bar, our Wine Workshop hosts a variety of exciting events focusing on the fun side of wine, from tastings and masterclasses on wine, beer, whiskey and sherry to movie nights, and much more.

1 Union Quay used to be an iconic music venue in the 80’s and 90’s, but great sounds still ring out within its four walls with regular live music gigs. For party bookings and menu go to http://www.latitude51.ie/

Our take on the Italian classic 'vitello tonnato' is back. We've replaced veal with pork loin and added smoked anchovies for a little extra umami.

Paired with a glass of Schödl Grûn Grün adds the finishing touchea - a bit like adding a dollop of apple sauce to the pork.

That's what we call a delicious dinner 😋

Creativity in the kitchen continues to flow.

We were very excited to get our hands on some pink sea bream today (albeit in tiny quantities) and have given it some North African treatment using harissa, giant cous cous and orange. Needless to say, it's swimming out the door 🐟 🙂

And we just happen to be serving one of our favourite unicorns by the glass today: Arinto from Massa Vecchia - can't think of a wine more suited to this beautiful dish 😁

For all the doubters out there, here's a brilliant summary by of some of the most common natural wine myths we'd like to see busted.

Stop doubting and start believing 😄

Fancy chasing unicorns? 🦄

We've a very special number by the glass-
Savagnin Autrement from Domaine St Pierre is a beautiful, contemplative white from the Jura.
A wine full of life with bursts of preserved lemon, dried herbs, sea salt and a taut mineral finish.
Aged under a light veil of yeast (flor) endows it with nuances of hay, meadow flowers and lovely savoury notes. We could smell it for hours! One for sipping so slowly, you'll lose track of time 😊

Another sensational Low Intervention Sunday with Epi Rogan and Padraig Nagle taking over L'Atitude's tiny kitchen to produce big, big flavours.

This is their 3rd pop-up with us and they just keeping better! It's been a real treat to track their interpretation of the seasons from Winter to Spring to Summer, using wild ingredients foraged by Epi and Padraig's Asian techniques. Every dish hit the high notes, but particular stand outs were the prawn toasts with flowering currant nuoc cham and bulgogi beef heart with wild leek fried rice. Really clever cooking and combination of ingredients. You make our job so easy as your food makes the wine sing 😊

Thanks Epi and Pardaig for helping us finish May with a flourish. We can't wait to have you guys back again in the Autumn!
