Nells Wine Bar

It is with a very heavy heart that I write this, but Nell’s Wine Bar will be closing on Saturday the 13th of this month.

We have fought our hardest to avoid this but the last nail in the coffin came earlier this week and it is now out of our hands.

We’re all pretty heartbroken, and I sincerely wish we could have given more time for this, but we would like to invite any voucher holders to come in during this time to redeem them.

On a personal note I would like to thank all our staff past and present, our suppliers, and especially our customers for your support over the last two and a half years. You all helped me realise a dream and I only wish I could have done it for longer.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Hot sandwiches

Pork, roclette, caramelised onion and honey mustard on ciabatta with an apple gravy dip

Mortadella and provolone with whole grain mustard and mayo on a brioche bun

Halloumi, roasted pepper, rocket and honey drizzle on a brioche bun
(Vegan option available)

Salad

Burata with rocket, smoked sun blush tomatoes, pickled onion, warm figs, hazelnuts, herb oil and raspberry vinegar. Served with toasts

Boards

Irish cheese board with house pickled and crackers

Charcuterie board with house pickles and crackers

Vegan board with hummus, roasted vegetables, mixed toasted nuts and toasts

Coffee, fresh juices and house iced tea also available

Wintertime is coming so why not enjoy a beautiful ripasso from Stefano Accordini. Grown at a higher altitude than many Valpolicellas, this wine has plenty of subtlety with its depth. The nose and palate are both captivating with an abundance of ripe red fruit followed by sweeter Mediterranean herbs and a touch of cinnamon spice

Pouring in Nell's, Riogoglou exists thanks to these very fresh wines, which are still surprising when they prove that drinking red can also be fun and exciting. Jeff Coutealu, who makes casual, unpretentious wines that are simply to be consumed and enjoyed, knows a lot about this. When it comes to Mas Coutelou Ploutelou, Jeff was inspired by the purely earthy and energetic wines of the Jura, which he pays tribute to with this red. Super juicy with a wee bit of funk.
