They sure know how to pull a cracking pint of Guinness here, and the atmosphere was lively. At the back, a karaoke session had everyone singing along to Gerry and the Pacemakers’ classic “You’ll Never Walk Alone.”

What’s lovely about this traditional Irish pub is how welcoming the staff are-friendly faces all around. And as for the Guinness? A solid 10/10… nom nom! 🍺

As we fondly remember Frank on his months mind, we his family would like to express our sincere thanks to everyone who supported us, sympathised with us, sent mass card, flowers and phone calls, to all the people who travelled overseas and long distances to offer their support. To his Nephews & Friends who visited Dad during his final week to stay by his side & support us. To all the people who dropped off food and called to the house it was really appreciated.

To our absolutely fantastic neighbours in Lower James Street and Ard Clar who stood alongside us showing their unwavering support and lined the street that Dad walked many times, to his fellow workers from Eircom for their Guard of Honour & to the girls from Claremorris LGFA who showed their support to Nina, Amy & Olive, Dad always stood out waving the blue & white flag for a victorious team!

A special word of thanks to Gary Curran and all the staff of the Malvern Medical Practice and the staff of Flynn’s Pharmacy for years of kindness and dedication. To Jerry Higgins & Ann Killeen always on the end of the phone! To Ann, Fergus, Ivan and all the wonderful, kind staff of The Old Arch & Bistro for the last 8 years, Dad loved his walk up and having the chat. To the staff of Wards A & B in Mayo General Hospital for their professionalism and exceptional care for Dad.

Thanks to Fr. Tommy Commins & Fr. Peter Gannon for the beautiful mass and to Pat Gleeson the Sacristan and the musicians Sharon & Tom for their beautiful music. Thanks to Enda Caulfield for preparing Dad’s final resting place and to Keith Donnellan for his professionalism and kindness, we will never forget.

It is difficult to express our gratitude to everyone who supported us in the week before Dad’s passing and their continued support – we thank you all most sincerely.
