This weekend when Mayo GAA and London GAA meet in Round 1 of the Connacht Senior Football Championship, there will be a familiar face in the London ranks.

Former senior player Conor O’Donohue, now playing his club football with St Kiernan’s, will wear number 7 for London.

He’ll come up against his former teammate Paul Towey, who lines out at 15 for Mayo.

The lads are no strangers to each other on opposite sides, they also faced each other in a Mayo GAA Charity match in December 2023 at the Connacht COE Air Dome, with Conor representing the Mayo All-Star selection and Paul lining out for the Mayo Senior Squad, as seen in the photo above.

We wish both Conor and Paul the very best of luck a huge honour for them and their families. May the best side win 😁
