During the summer months music is played regularly by many talented local artists on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. If your interests lie with history, this bar can satisfy your needs too with the owner Adrienne MacCarthy always on hand to enlighten customers of the various eccentricities of the place. Two world-renowned books can also be found on sale here, 'A Doctor's War' - Aidan MacCarthy and 'McCarthy's Bar' - Pete McCarthy.
