Wine Tasting 101:

To judge the appearance of a wine, tilt the glass against a white background.

You are looking for:
Clarity: Is the wine crystal clear, clear, limpid, hazy or cloudy?

Colour:
White wine: Is it lemon with green tint, lemon, straw, gold, amber, or brown?
Red wine: magenta, ruby, garnet, brick, tawny, brown or purple (almost black)

Colour intensity: water white, pale, light, dark, deep opaque
