RENEWED REQUEST
A new Heritage sub-committee of Naomh Eoin is gathering information on the history of GAA in the area. It is currently concentrating on the period 1887 – 1954 and among the material gathered are teams from 1887, 1917, 1928 etc. If anyone has any family photos, stories, memorabilia or other information relating to this period please email [email protected] or phone 0876256028. To whet the appetite here is the 1887 team: John Kavanagh, Jimmy Barron, Johnny Byrne, Patrick Murphy all from Raheenleigh; Andy Keating, Rathnageeragh, Jim Hendrick, Coolasnaughta, Johnny Fitzgerald Bealalaw, Ned and John Fitzgerald, Knockindrane, Pat Doyle, Myshall, Pat Doyle, Doyle’s Cross, ? Hughes, Ullard, Peter Neill Coolnasheegaun, Dan Brien, Aclare, James & John Byrne Scratoe, Dan Fenlon, Shangarry, Mick Byrne, Knocklonagad, Neddy Murphy, Croanruss, Har Smithers, Milltown, Pat Nolan, Rosslee, John Carthy, Turtane. They practised in Mikey Kelly’s Field up the Church Road. The photo is of the 1938 team.

Missing from
High Nellys 200 Heineken glasses. Had this problem before with Budweiser glasses, but found the culprit, n glasses were recovered safely, so if anybody has mistakenly brought home Heineken glasses can you return then ASAP please, As customers there need them..
