Just a wee reminder that the “1 at 1” Bus service returns this weekend leaving Buncrana cinema Bus Stop at 1am on Friday, Saturday & Sunday nights and stopping off at Clonmany, Carn, Drumaville, Moville and various other stops, finishing up at Greencastle. This service is great-not only for revellers in Buncrana- but for those that are out & about in the other towns & villages as well.
It is a pilot service so we must “use it to prove it” works. Ourselves & Rodden's Bar are giving a FREE DRINK to everyone who produces a ticket for this service.
We’ve LIVE MUSIC all weekend, as does Roddens Bar as well as most bars in Buncrana.

LIKE, SHARE & TAG A FRIEND TO WIN A €50 BAR TAB

BUNCRANA is one of only 9 cities & towns in Ireland to have a full time night time economy officer in place as part of a pilot scheme to grow all sectors of the Night Time Economy. After Trojan efforts our officer has secured - on a trial basis- a bus leaving Buncrana at 1am on the Friday, Saturday & Sunday of Bank Holiday Weekends, stopping at Clonmany, Carndonagh and various points as far as Greencastle. But we want to be crystal clear about this service, if it is not used it won’t be made permanent. Given the effort in getting this service going we want to do our bit to keep it. So we’re giving away a €50 Bar Tab to one lucky person that shares this post and tags a friend who might be interested in using the service. AND WE WILL GIVE A FREE DRINK (valid for 2 weeks) to anybody who produces a ticket, as proof of having used the service.

And don’t forget we’ve LIVE MUSIC tonight Saturday with Kevin Carlin. On Bank Holiday Sunday we’ve The Cavanagh Brothers Band. and on Bank Holiday Monday we have more LIVE MUSIC

Today on the feast of St. Brigid, we always spare a special thought for our Irish teacher at Scoil Mhuire Buncrana, Miss Ainé Ní Flaithbheartaigh -who tragically lost her life- this day 33 years ago, in a car accident, with her wedding dress in the boot of her car, less than an hour before we were due in her class on a frosty Monday morning. 🙏.
And on a brighter note we have a great night of music ahead this Bank Holiday Sunday. We have the fabulous Garth Brooks Tribute Act Rewind - Hits of the 60's 70's 80's and 90's in the bar from around 10pm, while in The Back Yard Bar we host the fantastic DJ STEVIE D. Stephen Doherty… if you are out & about give us a shout…
