Dear Customers,
It is with mixed emotions that we announce that we took the difficult decision to close Ripasso Restaurant.
Our final service will be on May 28th, 2023. The last four years have been some of the most challenging and rewarding for us. Opening in August of 2019, we had to adapt to survive and go on to thrive. There were many sleepless nights and so much hard work put in, and we did it. We could not possibly have managed without our truly wonderful customers. Know that whether we got to see you on a regular basis or if you only dined with us once, every single one of you made a difference and made Ripasso what it is today. This business is a tough one and we believe in leaving on a high. We are excited for what the future holds but we want to really express our sincere gratitude to everyone that made this possible. We have the best team around us, and it goes without saying that they mean the world to us (thank you from the bottom of our hearts, guys!). Over the next six weeks, we hope to see as many of you as possible. Customers with vouchers will have precedence when reserving a table. 📢 EXCITING NEWS ALERT 📢

Next week, we have the honour of hosting some very special guests.

Wednesday the 25th and Thursday the 26th, we will be serving up a delicious tasting menu full of the wonderful flavours of Liguria. The menu has been created by the extremely talented Chef Giorgio Servetto, who will be visiting us from Ristorante Vignamare. Along with our team, he will be preparing a 6 course menu that will be perfectly paired with wines from our sister vineyards, Cascina Praie and Lupi.

The evening will kick off at 7pm with a bubbles reception alongside a selection of canapés. This will be followed by a short presentation from the winemaker, Alex Berriolo, to give everyone an introduction to the vineyards and some information on the pairings you will receive.

Then, you will have the chance to tuck into a dining experience that should hopefully transport you to the beautiful region of Liguria.

Tickets are €75 for the menu with the optional wine pairing at €45.

Tortelli Cremaschi

I had a very quick trip home earlier this week and a stop in Pastificio Salvi in Crema was top of my list. This pasta shop has maintained the same recipe for Tortelli Cremaschi from a century ago when the pasta shop first opened. This particular type of pasta is quite unique in Italy as the filling is almost completely sweet: Amaretti Gallina, Mostaccino Biscuit, Grana Padano, Candied Cedar Fruit, Marsala Wine & Mints. They are traditionally served in Butter, Sage & Grana Padano creating a delicious contrast between the sweetness and spices of the raviolo and the saltiness of the Grana Padano.

We will be serving them up as a special for a limited time only this weekend!
