As many of you would have seen we had a few concerned comments from people in relation to our recent social media post for the festival - important to note we never said it was our poster - it was merely a social post to kick off our digital marketing. Here is a comment from our Artist himself Barry Britton Art to confirm our full poster is on it's way!

In relation to negative comments regarding Ballyshannon Folk Festival's advance poster regarding its use of AI. Don't worry- they haven't lost their soul! They put this out to give me a bit of breathing space to get the real one done. The process usually takes me a couple of weeks & headliners Johnny Gallagher & the Big Box Ceili Band were only confirmed recently. Johnny had a prior booking in the south of France which clashed with the Folk Festival- he has now managed to get out of. He only arrived back from a couple of prestigious events in Austria on Sunday & we have been knocking our heads together since to come up with ideas. I'll be taking photos this week of the Big Man himself plus his brother Pauric, & Johnny is busy gathering photos of the other 5 band members for me. i hope to be able to put pen to paper by the end of this week & maybe have the 2026 poster completed about 10 days later...... but maybe add a cupla days if the waves are good!?

We are saddened to hear of the passing of Ronan Gallagher, RIP, a much-loved friend of Ballyshannon Folk and Traditional Music Festival and played here a number of times.

Ronan Gallagher was a very passionate musician and a lovely man, he will be sorely missed. Our condolences go to his family, friends and fellow musician friends.
