A little update from Moran’s

Last Sunday was our final regular weekly Sunday Lunch service.

From now on, Moran’s will no longer serve Sunday Lunch every week.

However, Sunday Lunch is not finished altogether. We will still open for Sunday Lunch on selected Sundays throughout the year, including special occasions, holiday weekends and key dates, which we will announce in advance.

We will continue to serve food as usual Thursday, Friday & Saturday from 5pm–9pm, and our Sunday bar trade continues as normal.

Thank you sincerely to everyone who has supported our Sunday Lunch since we introduced it. We’ve really appreciated it.

So, just to be clear: weekly Sunday Lunch has now finished — but selected Sunday Lunches will continue during the year.

We were deeply saddened to hear of the sudden and tragic death of Glen Hansard, one of the true icons of Irish music.

I first became a fan through The Commitments and later followed The Frames throughout the 1990s. His voice, passion and honest songwriting made him one of Ireland’s most distinctive and greatly loved musicians.

Glen’s portrait hangs proudly here in Moran’s Bar alongside many other great Irish artists. Today, it carries a special poignancy.

Our sincere condolences to his family, friends and all who loved his music.

Rest in peace, Glen. Your music will live on.
