It is with a heavy heart that we have learned of Pete’s untimely passing. A wonderful friend of Dec’s and a loyal supporter of the DFMC from day one.
Our heartfelt condolences go out to our friend Erik, his mother Chris, sister Natalie Pete’s adored children Regan & Suzie and all of his beloved family.
We take comfort in knowing that Dec is waiting for him with open arms - reunited again.

NIELSEN, Pete.
(Dalton Terrace, Ballaghaderreen, Co. Roscommon and Dunmore, Co. Galway). December 2nd, 2025 (suddenly yet peacefully) after a long illness surrounded by his beloved family at University College Hospital Galway.
Predeceased by his father Peter, his grandparents Mary and Erik Nielsen and John and Katie Regan. He will be forever missed and remembered with affection by his heartbroken family, his son Regan, daughter Suzie, mother Christina, brother Erik, sister Natalie, partner Sarah, Regan and Suzie’s mother Suzanne, Uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins,relatives and many friends.

Pete will lie in repose in The Kilgarriff Funeral Home, Ballaghaderreen on Friday evening from 5 o'c to conclude with evening prayer at 7 o'c
Funeral will arrive to the Cathedral of the Annunciation and St. Nathy, Ballaghaderreen Saturday morning for Mass of the Resurrection at 11am with burial afterwards in Kilcolman Cemetery.
