Meet Hanna
Hanna Kavaleva lives in Minks, Belarus and supports our team in the Russian speaking markets. Even though she is still new to the agricultural field, she takes information in like a sponge. By now Hanna worked with some of our biggest clients and has seen farms in many different countries. Hanna is found of swimming and traveling, has seen farms in 30+ countries, and speaks 5 languages : Russian, Polish, Spanish, Serbian and English.

The Agri-Plastics starter pen is the perfect solution for the first days of life.
A great place for your newborn calf unit is right next to your maternity pens.
This way it is easy to reach the pen fast and you can simply open the door of the pen and push the open pen right in front of the head gate of the calving pen. Now the cow can reach her calf, lick it, and be milked at the same time.
Joep Driessen from CowSignals® had a great idea: If you put grain for the cow onto the calf, the cow gets to interact with her calf and eat her first load of concentrate right away. He calls it the cuddle box system!
This will help the calf’s blood circulation be stimulated and give the cow a natural trigger to release the first milk from her udder.
After the first meal is fed, the Agri-Plastics Starter pen with the wheel kit doubles as a calf cart. You can simply push the calf into the designated area for the next few days. We recommend an area that is protected under a roof and situated in a way that you will be able to check on this group a couple times a day. After 3 days here, the calf is ready to move into his hutch or calf barn pen.
