Thank you….

To all our friends, visitors, family and the locals that have supported us over the last 26 years,

It’s with a heavy heart that on Saturday October 25th 2025 the doors of the South Pole Inn will close, bringing an end to our lease and to this wonderful journey. For all the laughs, songs, parties, weddings, births, festivals, deaths and so much more. Which has consumed over half of my life, I will forever remember it with fondness.

I must also thank all the amazing staff I’ve had the pleasure of becoming friends with… Tracy, Siobhan and many, many other wonderful people over the years.

From all the Percival’s, O’sheas and not forgetting Pauline. Here’s to the next chapter…..

A husband and wife who have spent nearly 30 years running the landmark Kerry pub once owned by Antarctic explorer Tom Crean have spoken of their bitter disappointment that their offer to buy the premises has not been accepted.

This is our little collection of LEGO pieces 🧩

The first piece was gifted to us by Milo, aged 8 👏 A future master builder in the making!!!

Next up—the mini LEGO pub 😍 crafted by , whose creativity brought it to life!

And of course, we couldn’t leave out the LEGO replica of the Endurance ship and the James Caird lifeboat 🛥️ A true tribute to history in brick form.

Hey guys! We are open today and tomrrow for food. Due to unforseen circumstances our kitchen will be closed Sunday the 20th, Monday the 21st and Tuesday the 22nd. No food available these days. We will be open for drinks! Hope to see you over the weekend! Happy Easter 🐇🐰🐇

This weekend unfortunately no food! We will have food again next weekend! Sorry for any inconvenience! Thanks guys! Open for drinks so don't hesitate to call in a quench that thirst. Use it to wash down the auld bacon fries and nobby nuts available 🤌

We are now doing food on Saturday and Sunday from 1pm to 7pm!
Only open on the weekends at the moment guys! Not long till the season begins fully again, by gosh does the time seem to be flying by. . We can't wait to see you all!
