On this summer evening, we'll be listening together to 'Live 2025', the first physical release by Chameleon Jazz Band.

Led by trombonist Rezső Bálint, recipient of the Pro Cultura Újbuda and Artisjus awards, the band continues to explore new sounds while staying rooted in jazz-pop and fusion traditions. If you're into melodic, groove-driven jazz with a contemporary touch, this one's for you.

Alongside the listening session, you'll also have the chance to meet and chat with members of the band, hear stories from behind the scenes, and get your freshly purchased records signed.

Since forming in 2003, Chameleon Jazz Band has performed more than 350 concerts across 50 cities in 9 European countries. Over the years, they have shared the stage with some of Hungary's and Europe's most respected musicians, while also supporting emerging young talent.

Known for their thematic concerts and full-length live shows, the band has built a reputation for creating engaging, high-quality musical experiences, whether on festival stages or in intimate club settings.

Szabi is one of the most dedicated hosts on Tilos Radio, best known for his show URBN M1ND, where he explores a wide range of electronic and experimental sounds. Listening to his shows can feel like wandering deep into nature, floating above the built world, while also sharing the company of a good friend. His selections create spaces that are both immersive and welcoming.

In Budapest, he runs the URBN TECH and raw.m1nd.collab event series, often featuring live acts alongside electronic music. He’s also a familiar face at countless pop-up events, helping shape their atmosphere through thoughtful and carefully curated selections.

For this session at GOZO, Szabi will bring along some of his favourite records from home — albums usually enjoyed in private, now shared with all of us. It’s going to be a special one.

A special night coming up on June 9th.

Japanese selector and producer Yukimasa will be joining us during his European tour. Before his June 13th appearance at Atno with Shifted Frequencies, he’ll stop by GOZO for a more intimate, slower-paced session. Quality electronic music, a comfortable setting, and good drinks.

YUKIMASA began his music career in the late 1990s in Anaheim, California, and then returned to Japan in the early 2000s, immersing himself in the electronic music scene. Over the past few decades, he has continued his activities in various places worldwide. Transcending genre boundaries and continuously expanding his style and artistic vision shaped by encounters with a diverse array of artists. In 2007, he launched his own recurring party “FORCE,” which continues to be held at WOMB Tokyo.

In 2019, he established Paradigma Records and has continued to release tracks from labels that represent scenes from various countries. His wide-ranging musical exploration, unconstrained by genre, and his collaborations with diverse artists have created the uniqueness of his DJ style, which has been highly acclaimed at world-renowned clubs such as Tresor, OHM, and Gare.

DJ Total Commander is a Budapest-based vinyl DJ with a passion for collecting and spinning Japanese records from the ’70s and ’80s.

This time he returns with a Takanaka selection. An evening of the best records of Japanese guitar legend Masayoshi Takanaka, exclusively selected favorites on vinyl: tropical jazz fusion, city pop, surf guitar and the most beautiful moments of the 80s Japanese summer.

Ezúttal egy Takanaka válogatással tér vissza hozzánk. Egy este a japán gitárlegenda Masayoshi Takanaka legjobb lemezeivel, kizárólag válogatott kedvencekkel vinilen: trópusi jazz fusion, city pop, surf guitar és 80-as évekbeli japán nyár legszebb pillanatai.

Hanussen emerged in the Budapest nightlife scene as a DJ around 2019. He was captivated by electronic dance music genres and the Budapest underground in the preceding years. In the beginning, he played at smaller illegal parties with friends, primarily spinning deep house sets.

In 2022, he co-founded the Terra Kontra collective with friends, which hosts a club night series during the clubseason and a festival in the summer. His sets continue to draw from various house subgenres, often incorporating elements of dub house, deep tech, minimal, microhouse, UKG, and classic house sounds. He also strives to diversify his selection with influences from break, trance, and acid.

At the end of the 2022 festival season, he and his colleague Kozmo D launched their musical concept, Blue Sun. Initially, they organized listening sessions and curated a mix series, but the project has since evolved into a record label.

Hanussen 2019 körül bukkant fel a budapesti éjszakában dj-ként. Az elektronikus tánczenei műfajok és a budapesti underground az azt megelőző években ragadták magukkal. Eleinte barátaival kisebb illegálokon zenéltek, kezdő dj-ként főként deep house szeteket játszott.

2022-ben alapította meg barátaival a Terra Kontra kollektívát, ami a klub szezonban egy bulisorozat nyáron meg egy fesztiválnak ad otthont. Szetjeihez azóta is a house különböző alműfajaiból válogat, többnyire kitérőkkel a dub house, deeptech, minimál és microhouse vagy akár Ukg és klasszikusabb house hangzásokkal dolgozik, de igyekszik mindig színesíteni a palettát más stílusokkal is, mint például break, trance és acid.

A 2022-es fesztivál szezon végén Kozmo D kollegájával életre hívták a Blue Sun nevezetű zenei koncepciójukat. Eleinte listening sessionöket tartottak és egy mix sorozatot kuráltak, de azóta kiadóvá alakították át a projektek.
