Ki lesz a tanárod?
Who’s gonna be your teacher?

Sziasztok, Czakó Dóri vagyok, én tartom a Forró Budapest óráit.
Gyerekkorom óta táncolok, a forróval 2015-ben találkoztam Portugáliában.

Hi, I’m Dóri Czakó, and I’m the one behind the Forró Budapest classes.
I’ve been dancing since I was a kid, and I discovered forró in Portugal back in 2015. Since then, this dance has taken me on quite a journey: I spent four years living in Brazil, where I kept learning, dancing, and teaching, while also getting to know the culture and community around forró much more deeply.
I think what kept me coming back to forró is how much it brings together the things I love about dance. There’s joyful music, playfulness, a structure you can build on, and lots of room to improvise and make things your own. I love that dancing with a partner asks you to really pay attention, and that there’s no single “right” way to dance.
For me, dance has long been one of the things that brings me joy, gets me out of my head and back into my body, and connects me with other people. That’s what I hope to bring into my classes too: a place to move freely, experiment, and discover your own way of dancing. And along the way, we get to learn about a whole new culture from Northeast Brazil.
