In these hard times we bring to you a fresh cocktail recipe by recommendation of our head bartender
EN:
Daiquiri is a cocktail found in 1898 by Harry E. Stout and Jennings Cox in a small village named Daiquiri near Santiago. Papa Doble is a version of Daiquiri consumed by famous writer Ernest Hemingway. According to the recipe of his longtime friend A. E. Hotchner, Ernest would drink double sugar-free Daiquiri with a little bit of maraschino and grapefruit. Dale DeGroff brings on a recipe in which he adds a little bit of sugar for a better acid balance since the original recipe is very sour.
"I decided for the slightly modified version so I clarified the fresh lime and grapefruit juice, and I chose stirring as a working method. The result is a perfectly balanced fresh cocktail ready for carbonation (will have to wait until quarantine will pass :D). My recommendation!" says Robert.
Recipe:
4.5 cl Bacardi Carta Blanca
1.5 cl Maraschino
1.5 cl Clarified fresh grapefruit juice
1.5 cl Clarified fresh lime juice
2 cl Simple syrup (1: 1 ratio in grams)
HR:
