Summer is getting close. Here is the new price list. We will take orders during the weekend and submit the orders to France early next week. Please hurry up, once the orders are submitted to France, no new orders will be taken. It takes about 1.5 months to receive the shipment after ordering, I need to make sure it arrives before my summer begins.

Third batch of Group Buying (or should we use the buzz word: Crowd Funding) will start soon! Good news is that we will be able to get mixed cases this time. There will likely be three levels (High,Medium,Low) again with 4 Chateaux in each level. Stay tuned.

Dear Friends of Dr Wine,

The second batch of wine has arrived, some of you have already picked up. I’m awaiting some more to be picked up so my living room can be freed. (No rush though, the boxes look just fine there).

As some of you will come to pick up wine tonight, I think today is a great opportunity to have wine together in a very informal setting. If you are free tonight (Feb 21), please stop by my place at 8:30pm to have a glass and chat. Family and friends are welcome.

This is a quick note that it is confirmed that the previous order of wine will arrive on Feb 6 to Hong Kong.

Your order will be cleared from customs by Feb 9 and will be sent to you on Feb 9 or 10.

Recently, I learned some Latin. Among the things I remembered here is one related to wine: Bibo ergo sum. It means "I drink, therefore I am."

I'm enjoying some great hot wine in Zurich and Paris this winter. It is made of red wine with some other simple ingredients. Here is the "Glühwein" recipe:
3/4 cup water (or orange juice)
3/4 cup white sugar (or less to taste)
1 cinnamon stick
1 orange
10 whole cloves
1 (750 ml) bottle red wine

Directions:

1. In a saucepan, combine the water, sugar, and cinnamon stick. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer.
2. Cut the orange in half, and squeeze the juice into the simmering water. Push the cloves into the outside of the orange peel, and place peel in the simmering water. Continue simmering for 30 minutes, until thick and syrupy.
3. Pour in the wine, and heat until steaming but not simmering. Remove the clove-studded orange halves.
4. Serve hot in mugs or glasses that have been preheated in warm water (cold glasses will break.).

We'll make the order with France by this weekend. Please submit your order asap. The shipment should arrive in early January. This weekend, I'll absorb whatever left and confirm everything! Yay!

Euro is going cheap. In our last order we paid 10.7 HKD for 1 Euro. Now it is only 9.88. That's almost a 10% discount. I think it is good timing to order the next batch. I'm busy selecting the best wines to include in this batch. Stay tuned.

I drew this picture after visiting Alsace a couple of weeks ago. This is the first time I try this Tintin style when drawing. A lot of room for improvement for sure.

The white wines from Alsace are famous, but it's not my cup of tea (should I say "not my glass of wine"?).
