Steven Spurrier is a British wine expert and wine consultant. He is currently Consultant Editor for Decanter Magazine and Chairman of the Decanter World Wine Awards, now the world’s biggest wine competition, since its inception in 2004 and Chairman of Decanter Asia Wine Awards, Asia’s largest wine competition, since 2012.

Spurrier created the tasting between top Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon wines from California and France in May 1976, subsequently referred to as The Judgement of Paris. He is also the founder of the Académie du Vin and Christie's Wine Course, in addition to authoring eight books on wine of which two: L’Academie du Vin Wine Course and L’Academie du Vin Guide to French Wines have been translated into several languages.

Some of the prizes and awards that Spurrier has won include “The Bunch Award” in 1996, “Le Prix de Champagne Lanson” in 1997, “Ritz Carlton Millienia Lifetime Achievement Award” in 1999 and “Le Prix Louis Marinier” in 2000. In 2001 he was awarded “Le Grand Prix de l’Academie Internationale du Vin” (only the third time this award has been given since 1982) and also “The Andre Tchelistcheff Maestro Award” from California. In 2017 he was made Decanter Man of the Year and also Honorary President of the Wine and Spirit Education Trust. In 2018 his memoirs were published under the title “Wine a Way of Life.”

Dr. Caroline Le Goffic is an Associate Professor of law at Paris Descartes University (France), and a Professor at Sorbonne University in Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates). She wrote her doctoral dissertation on the protection of geographical indications in the European Union and in the United States. She specializes in intellectual property law and is the director of a Master’s Degree in Dalloz IP/IT law at Paris Descartes University.

Professor Haiyan Song has a strong background in Economics. His major research areas include tourism and wine economics. He was educated both in China and the UK, and has extensive research and consultancy experiences in areas such as foreign direct investment (FDI) in China and economic issues related to China's tourism sector. Over the years, Prof. Song has been involved in a number of projects on tourism demand forecasting in the Asia Pacific region. He has also spoken frequently, as invited speaker and presenter of research papers, at various international conferences on issues related to tourism and wine economics.
Prof. Song was honoured by the International Council on Hotel, Restaurant, and Institutional Education with the John Wiley & Sons Lifetime Research Achievement Award in 2010, and Michael D. Olsen Research Achievement Award from the University of Delaware in 2014. Prof. Song has been appointed as Mr and Mrs Chan Chak Fu Professor in International Tourism since September 2017.

Jean-Robert PITTE, was born in1949 in Paris. He is Emeritus Professor of Géography an Land Planning at Paris-Sorbonne University (Paris IV). He has been Président of this institution from 2003 to 2008. He created in 2006 Paris-Sorbonne Abu Dhabi University. He teaches historical and cultural géography, especially about food and wine, as much as landscape and planning history. From 2010 to 2014, he has been Délegate of the Prime Minister for information and guidance about education and professions.
Jean-Robert Pitte is a member of Institut de France (Académie des Sciences morales et politiques) since 2008 and Permanent Secretary of this academy since 2017. He is President of Société de Géographie (oldest Geographical Society in the world, founded in 1821. He is Président of Mission du Patrimoine et des Cultures Alimentaires, in charge of relations with UNESCO for recognition of french gastronomical meal on the list of intangible heritages of the world. He is honnour president of Ferrières school. He is a member of Academia Europaea, of Académie des Sciences d’Outre-Mer, president of Académie du Vin de France since 2010 and member of Académie du Vin de Bordeaux, Academy of Dijon and Academie Stanislas of Nancy. He received Honoris Causa doctorates from Tel Aviv, Iasi, Tbilissi and Toronto (York) universities. He is Légion d’honneur officier, Ordre national du Mérite officier and Palmes académiques officier, Arts et Lettres commander. He received from Emperor Akihito Sunrise japanese order with golden and silver rays.

In a forty-year career Jasper Morris MW has established a reputation as one of the world’s most knowledgeable experts on the wines of Burgundy, an engaging international speaker on his favourite subject. Regular articles for World of Fine Wine magazine and other publications confirm the depth of his knowledge and his ability to communicate it. He has been a Master of Wine since 1985 and is author of Inside Burgundy (2010) which won the prestigious André Simon award. He founded and managed the specialist Burgundy importer, Morris & Verdin from 1981 to 2003, then worked as Burgundy Director for Berry Bros & Rudd (2003-2017). In 2005 he was appointed as Chevalier de l’Ordre de Mérite Agricole. Since 2016 he has been a Senior Consultant for Christie’s with specific responsibility for the Hospices de Beaune sale. In 2018 he launched his website Jasper Morris Inside Burgundy.

Demei Li is an Associate professor at the Food Science and Technology College in Beijing University of Agriculture. He is consulting for several wineries in China, and helped one of them, Jia Bei Lan, claim the International Trophy from the Decanter World Wine Awards 2011 in London. Demei won the 2012 Wine Intelligence 10-for-10 Business Award, and on the Decanter 2013 Power List, and named one of the Top 10 Most Influential Wine Consultants by the Drinks Business in 2013. As a columnist, Demei contributes to many prestigious wine publications, including DecanterChina.com. He is one of the contributors for The Oxford Companion to Wine (4th edition).

Making Sense of Hong Kong and China's Evolving Wine Consumption Market Over the Past 25 Years

Jeannie Cho Lee is the first Asian Master of Wine (MW) and an award-winning author, television host, editor, wine critic, judge and educator. Jeannie has been a Professor of Practice at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University School of Hotel & Tourism Management since 2012. She is currently the Co-Chair of the Decanter Asia Wine Awards and the Burgundy Chair for the Decanter World Wine Awards. Since 2008 she has been Singapore Airline’s Wine Consultant and a monthly wine columnist for Robb Report China. Jeannie holds a Certificat de Cuisine from Cordon Bleu and is a Certified Wine Educator with both the UK’s Wine & Spirits Education Trust and the US Society of Wine Educators. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Smith College as well as a Master’s degree from Harvard University. For three years Jeannie co-hosted a weekly wine program In Vino Veritas on TVB Pearl, Hong Kong’s leading English-language TV broadcaster. Her two books, Mastering Wine and Asian Palate, have won numerous awards, including the Gourmand Award for Best Food and Wine Pairing Book in the World. Jeannie’s upcoming book on Burgundy, in English and in Chinese, will be launched by Assouline in June 2019.
