Wishing everyone an “Evergreen Christmas,” just like the tree at the entrance of Penicillin Shanghai—
a symbol of resilience, deep roots, and sustainability.
This tree once fell during a typhoon in Nantong,
but we brought it here and gave it new life,
allowing it to stand tall once again.
Penicillin is the brainchild of Agung and Laura Prabowo, created in 2020 in Hong Kong.
The creation of Penicillin comes from the very same spirit:
to move a little slower,
to move with greater steadiness,
but always to move in the right direction.

Today, we would like to clarify the following to all our guests and friends in industry :
Since December 8, certain local shareholders have, without proper authorization,
assumed control of the Penicillin Shanghai venue and intervened in its personnel, financial, and operational management.
The situations that have occurred at the Shanghai location
do not represent Penicillin’s standards, brand position, or quality,
nor do they align with Penicillin’s brand vision or original intentions.
Such actions run counter to the principles of healthy industry development
and to the fundamental norms of responsible business conduct.
What we wish to convey to all our guests—both long-time regulars and new friends—is this:
Penicillin remains committed to its core values and service philosophy,
and we deeply value the trust and support of every guest and industry friends and family
We hereby express our serious objection to these developments
and are actively pursuing lawful and compliant measures
to ensure that operations are restored to their proper and intended course as soon as possible.
