Shane Siu, a young and talented mixologist who worked in famed bars, is also the winner of Absolut Vodka invite 2017. She has been passionate about Art and is always looking for possibilities to incorporate inspirations into her work. With the opening of Avenue 75 Bar and Eatery, everything in the bar is the canvas of the bartender, from her first own cocktails menu creation to the wall painting and handwriting are telling her art senses and creativity. When you are talking about the creation of visual and taste excitement, the cocktail itself is Art. To pay tribute to the masters, Shane reinterprets famous artworks with cocktails and craftsmanship: For “See my pearl” inspired by Johannes Vermeerhs’ , Shane uses self-made Marshmallow Gin as the base to unveil the pearl earring under the blue scarf; for “Diamond Black” inspired by Kazimir Malevich’s , putting in the mix of yuzu sake and white rum is a self-made charcoal square; for “Banana Ground” inspired by Andy Warhol’s , a thick foam of fermented banana, honey, milk and almond is laid on the mix of dark rum, bourbon whiskey and frangelico; for “Poker Soul” inspired by Paul Cézanne’s , she mixes self-made Tonka bean vodka and cold brew coffee liqueur to represent a focused man. You can find other unique self-made ingredients in “Folies Lady”, “Portrait”, “O’Fat’ion” and “Woman Perfume”, and we would leave it to you to discover. Shane also hand-drawn the signature features in the eight artworks on the street-art style wall paintings.
