Legend has it that Venetian sailors said you smell Zante - their "Flower of the East" - before you can see her. And any walk in the hills of this island in summer will show you why.

It's easy to find the Green Frog - follow your nose to the aromas of freshly baked pastries in our new Cafe. Coming from the direction of Zakynthos Town, we're on the right hand side towards the very end of the main Argassi high road - opposite the Maria Mare Hotel. From the direction of Vassilikos we are on the left as you head down the hill into Argassi. Wherever you're coming from, you'll find a peaceful haven in our Cafe, an incredible selection of local produce in the Market, and authentic Mediterranean flavours executed to perfection from the Kitchen.

Since 1992, Green Frog has been welcoming guests to Argasi with great food, warm smiles, and a relaxed atmosphere.
Tucked away in a peaceful garden setting, our restaurant serves fresh, homemade Mediterranean dishes every evening from 17:30, using local ingredients and simple, honest flavours.

Our newly added café extends from our supermarket, offering coffees, pastries, sandwiches, and ice cream with beautiful sea views — perfect for a morning treat or afternoon break. Inside the supermarket, you’ll find locally made products such as olive oils, olives, and wines that you can taste before you buy, plus fresh fruit, bread, and everyday essentials with friendly local advice.
