Someone asked about this fan again tonight. It happens quite often. The story usually starts in Kyoto, where maiko leave these fans behind in the places they visit as a way of saying thank you. Somehow, this one ended up here with us. Funny how some of the smallest things in the bar are the ones people ask about the most. I never really get tired of telling those stories.

Before the first note is played, there is always a moment of silence.The room takes a breath. Anticipation lingers in the air. Every possibility is still on the table.

This Friday and Saturday, live music returns to Tesla.

The lights will dim, the drinks will flow, and the soundtrack of the weekend will begin once again.

Mezcal smoke drifts quietly through layers of miso, lime and yuzu, while togarashi lingers softly in the air like fading ink on paper.
