We usually don’t respond publicly to criticism beyond replying to the review itself, because we respect everyone’s opinion.

But sometimes a review can genuinely hurt.

Today we were accused of treating guests differently because of a disability. This is something that goes completely against who we are and how we have run our family restaurant for all these years.

We fully accept that someone may not like our food, our menu or even their overall experience. That’s absolutely their right.

But being accused of discrimination is very different.

We won’t share the guest’s name or personal details, because this isn’t about attacking anyone.

We’d simply like to ask: where should the line be between an honest negative review and an accusation that can seriously damage a small family business?
