We know how much you’ve enjoyed our place during the summer, and many of you asked us to stay open during the winter as well. So, for the first time, we’ll give it a try — and happily grant your wish!
With the extra obligations winter brings, things can be a bit more challenging, but we want to see how this season goes and continue offering everything you love from Zalo/Creta Earth.
That’s why we will remain open every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.

Τα καφενεία του χωριού ήταν κάποτε το καταφύγιο των παππούδων μας.
Με ένα ελληνικό καφεδάκι και λίγη τσικουδιά, ξέχναγαν την κούραση της μέρας και γέμιζαν την ψυχή τους με κουβέντα και παρέα.

Σήμερα, στο Ζάλο, χαιρόμαστε που έχουμε δημιουργήσει ένα ζεστό περιβάλλον που κάνει τους παλιούς να θυμούνται… και τους νέους να γεύονται και να μυρίζονται τα παλιά χρόνια, όπως ακριβώς τα έζησαν οι άνθρωποι τότε.
The village kafenia (cafés) used to be the refuge of our grandparents.
With a Greek coffee and a little tsikoudia, they left behind the day’s fatigue and filled their souls with conversation and company.

Today, at Zalo, we are happy to have created a warm environment that makes the older ones reminisce… and the younger ones taste and sense the essence of those past years, just as people lived them back then.

Here, in our traditional space, Greek coffee is not just a drink , it’s a ritual. We prepare it the old-fashioned way, slowly and with care, in a briki, served alongside a sweet loukoumi, just like our grandparents used to enjoy it.

In our place, the flavors, aromas, and images of the past meet the warmth of today. A small tribute to our memories and a true experience for every visitor who wants to feel the soul of Crete through the simplest, yet most authentic moments.
