** THE HIDEAWAY PUB IS NOW PERMENANTLY CLOSED**

It is with sadness that we have to announce that the Hideaway pub will not be open this year. 😢
A couple months ago father-in-law decided to build himself an apartment using the back part of the bar and as expected the building work hasn't been finished in time so he's made it impossible for us to open.
Maybe in the future we will open again, watch this space.....🤞

Thank you to everyone who came in to see us, if any of you are out again this year and fancy meeting up for a drink or too then feel free to message me.

You all may or may not have known that back in October I had refractive lens exchange surgery (RLE) at Vision Care Clinic in Bristol.
Then a few weeks ago I had laser surgery to finish my journey off.

My eyesight now is AMAZING!! No more wearing contact lenses or thick glasses everyday-just ones I can get from a supermarket etc for reading.

Kieren Darcy & his staff at Bristol and the staff at Ultralase UK Cardiff (where I had the 1st surgery) were all so professional and lovely & friendly, answering all my silly questions and calming my nerves on the day-I couldn't have chosen a better place to have this done.
I highly, HIGHLY recommend going to them if you are thinking about having vision surgery or even if you have any problems/concerns about your eyes.
Thank you again Kieren, Linda, Cheryl, the ladies at Cardiff & anyone I've missed out.

EDIT 2: I called the fire service and 2 lovely firemen came to help-it wasn't a tiny kitten but a young cat, they managed to get him moved from the spot he was definitely stuck on.
Unfortunately it ran off before we could grab him (it was an orange tabby) but at least he isn't stuck there anymore, I've left a few piles of biscuits in the area.

EDIT:Husband has just been there with 2 friends and a ladder, no luck unfortunately 😥

URGENT HELP NEEDED!!!
I've been trying to rescue a kitten since last night that's in a bit of a awkward place!!
My husband has just tried as well but no luck.
