So what's the temperature where you're at right now...? 'Cause down here in Athens, there's just this miraculous thing we all like to call Neverending Summer!

September has already run its course, and here we are with daily thermometers still hitting 25-30 as a course of fact. One can just never get tired of it! Especially with Sundays off for a swim in the Mediterranean or a lay-out on the beach.

And then the nights.... With Athens charged up full with all the students back to Uni, and all the 30-somethings back to work, the vibe on the street is at its max right now. Late nights, wild nights, the locals are out there every weekend with an intention to party :) Which means we just gotta take you along! The city is sweet these days, and it's t-shirt weather even after sundown. What more could ya need?!

These weeks have just come and gone in a flash! So thank the gods of wine that we got some photos of all the madness... Summer in Athens has transformed into such a beautiful stream of street parties, plus a beautiful stream of peeps from all over the world. Get yourselves on down here! The temperatures are just where you want em!!!!!! And there's at least another month of celebration before anyone even thinks of packing the bathing suit away... Sweet warm nights, sun-filled days, these are the days that make a summer memorable!

Well the truth is its been a wild month here on every front. Anyone who's been watching international news knows how much Greece has been in the headlines, but for all the folks we know here on the street they're just trying to keep it business as usual. Finances have gotten tight for the locals (but have no fear: not for foreigners in any way), so the great groups of travelers we've been able to bring by some amazing spots have been a big bonus for local owners. Nothing quite as satifsying as introducing people to the heart and magic of this beautiful city, far away from the splash of over-hyped articles. The Athens we know is still keeping its chin up and enjoying what is possible this summer... and with so many nightlife spots to keep this city full of atmosphere, we're delighted to be showing you a side of the city that the international press just has no clue about.

Athenians may be tight on cash these days, but they're abundant in spirit. We've had a chance to join in on all-night beach parties, dancin to great tunes amidst a perfect nightime seaside vibe... We stumbled into a brand new favorite that takes over an entire sidestreet in the winding maze of Athens... There've been music festivals, silks shows, live urban bands and Hawaiian hula parties... And yep, we even came across a giant human fussball table! Proof again to us here at the Ghost Crawl that Athens is a city always ready to surprise ya! As long as you're daring enough to get a little under the skin and explore away from the mainstream :)

So the blessedly warm Mediterranean nights are finally here, and it has all the Greeks proclaiming that vacation-time has officially arrived. Plus here at the Ghost Crawl, one other thing we’re most definitely sure of... is that Partytime has arrived as well. Which means we're now at a fast and fresh 9 o'clock start time :) There’s so much going on in Athens over the summer!

The last few weeks have led us to circus festivals, pole dancing, shoulder-to-shoulder street parties, brand new ghost sightings, and (most populated of all) an all-night rave with more than two thousand people getting down till the dawn. And that’s just the beginning! Looking ahead to what the rest of these sweet summer nights are gonna hold, we’re just hoping that you guys have got enough party in you to survive the full experience. If you haven’t had a summer in Greece yet, you’re about to understand why the whole of Europe steadily makes its way down here :)

Included below are just a few teasers from what the past evenings out have led us onto… with so many great events coming up all through this month and through the ever hotter months ahead. Not to forget your morning ferries out to the islands of course! We’ll keep you entertained on your Athens days, getting you properly prepped for the seaside!!!

So May has come in with its game face on!!!

We've sat down in bodegas without any sign whatsoever to advertise them, gone completely off-road in the search of neighborhoods that nobody else on the Crawl had ever even heard of, and turned two or three bars into rocking dance clubs. Athenians love to get their groove on in the hidden sidestreets of the city, dancing in small cafes, filling up alleyways, taking over whole street corners.... and we've been doing our best to take that standard and raise it a bar or two higher.

And the 35 people we had out all together in one night surely helped do the job on that last weekend! It's been one mighty introduction to mild May. Let's take over some more pubs and clubs this month!!!
