AK98® SF: Expanding the AK98® Family!

At and , continuous product development remains an important part of our commitment to serving evolving customer needs.

We are pleased to introduce AK98® SF (Super Fine), a finely ground version of our well-established AK98® high-purity natural caustic calcined .

Produced from high-purity microcrystalline magnesite and further processed in our Moradotti SV micronization mill, AK98® SF combines the proven chemical purity of AK98® with advanced grinding and dynamic air classification technology, enabling a highly controlled particle size distribution with a D50 of approximately 4-5 μm.

Key characteristics:
✔️High-purity natural CCM (MgO Loss-Free ≥ 98%)
✔️D50: 4-5 μm
✔️Bulk Density (Loose): 0.44 g/cm³
✔️Conforming to the purity requirements of E530, the European Union specification for Magnesium Oxide as a food additive

AK98® SF has been developed to meet the needs of applications requiring both high purity and very fine particle size. The ultra-fine particle size further broadens its potential use in demanding applications, such as high-purity magnesium compounds for technical, food and pharmaceutical applications, hydromagnesite production, bleached cellulose, high-end ceramics and other high-demanding industrial and chemical applications.

AK98® SF complements the existing AK98® HR and VHR grades, offering customers an additional option within the AK98® product family.

Our recent on-site trial applications of GRECMAGN® TUN CS at 2 additional steel production plants in Central and Southeastern Europe demonstrated strong performance under real operating conditions, contributing to lower energy consumption, reduced downtime, higher productivity, improved working conditions and simplified operations.

The trials were carried out using our in-house developed portable mixing and application unit, enabling precise dosing and consistent material placement.

We at GDCI India Private Limited are pleased to share the successful completion of a customer visit in Rajasthan with the Grecian Magnesite Team, focused on exploring new opportunities in the rapidly growing Indian Emery Stone market.

Our Director, Anup Rathore, along with our Senior Sales Manager, Anil, had the opportunity to engage in insightful discussions with Eleni Iskou – Sales Manager Specialisties and Dr. Haris Yiannoulakis – R&D Manger.
