Kantades are traditional Ionian serenades—romantic songs performed by our musician visitors, accompanied by guitar or mandolin.
They originated largely in the Ionian Islands—especially Kefalonia and Zakynthos—with strong Venetian influences from Greece’s history under Venetian rule.
