Afraid to say that we've had to take the difficult decision to close. We have never really recovered post COVID and the situation has not been helped by the fact that Djembe and Djeliba hotels have not opened since then and there is no evidence that they are opening in the near future. It has simply become unsustainable to continue running at a loss.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all who have supported us over the last 6 years your custom was very much appreciated.

A couple of weeks ago I did a challenge to create, write and publish a book in 7days with no outlay. It actually took me 8 days with today being day 8 and for various reasons day 7 was 10 days ago! It was just for the learning and an experiment. It's also NOT meant to be a masterpiece and is not to make a profit, Anything made in sales will go to to Gambian charities. Having said that if you would like to get a copy it's on kindle at $2.99 (I think today that's £2.32), an if you don't mind leaving a review it may help sell a few copies.

Afraid we're unable to open today. In fairness to our staff who all worked through all day New Years eve till 5.30am New Year's day then back on duty last night we're letting them have today off to recover. Sorry for any inconvenience.
