Ember wine — the soul of Georgian winemaking 🍇🇬🇪

Crafted using the ancient Qvevri method,this amber wine gets its deep golden colour from fermenting grape skins, seeds, and stems together with the juice — just as our ancestors did for centuries.📜

The wine is aged in traditional clay vessels (qvevri), buried underground, where it rests for a minimum of 6 months and up to 1 year, developing its rich texture, structure, and character.

History KARALASHVILI FAMILY

The surname Karalashvili originates from Kakheti, Georgia. Karalashvilis received “prince” status from the King of Kartli- Kakheti George VIII in 14th century.

The Karalashvili family has been making wine since 1396. The knowledge and passion for winemaking passed down through generations. Fifth-generation family members, Tamaz Karalashvili and Inesa Karalashvili, are both very well-known winemakers in Georgia and Russia. Revaz Karalashvili, another well-known member of Karalashvili’s winemaking family, is the ownerof “Georgian Royal Wine” – acompany that sells its wines in more than 20countriesaround the world.

Lasha Karalashvili, the youngest member to join this winemaking family, also continues his family tradition in winemaking. Few years ago, he created his own company “Karalashvili” and produces high-end wines by combining ancient Georgian traditions with hisancestralknow-how.
