27.09 DADI Travels: Harvest Day at Berika Winery!

It’s harvest season in Kakheti - the time Georgians call Rtveli. This special moment comes only once a year, and we’d love to share it with you.

On Saturday, September 27, we’re heading to Berika Winery to spend the day with winemaker Ana Berika and join the harvest.

We’ll pick grapes together in the vineyard, learn about local traditions, and see how the journey from grape to wine begins.

Afterwards, Ana will welcome us to her table for a Georgian dinner, paired with her natural wines.

Departure: 9:00 AM from DADI
Cost: 220 GEL - includes transport, grape picking, winery tour, and dinner with wine tasting.

Three new blends made by DADI girls at Baia’s winery this spring.

It was a great experience and opportunity to make something new. The result is bottled, labels created by and .

“Malina-Malina” - rose Aladasturi and Krakhuna oak: expensive raspberry, crushed black cherries with yogurt.

“Warm night” - Tsitska, Tsolikouri oak, Krakhuna oak: mineral, oaky, buttery, a bit creamy.

“Lovers” - Tsitska oak, Tsolikouri, Otskhanuri Sapere: fruity, light bodied with dry finish.

Einat winery - wine project by Einat Klein and Andrey Makarevich in Israel.

The vineyards are located at an altitude of 850 meters in the Samaria mountains and are considered among the best in Israel.

The red dry blend “4 Cats” consists of four grape varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Malbec. The grapes were harvested by hand, and the wine spent 18 months in French oak barrels. Harvest 2019.

Dry red blend “3 Other Cats” consists of three grape varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon, Marselan and Carignan. The wine spent 18 months in French oak barrels. Harvest 2020.

We brought these wines to Georgia and you can buy them at DADI.

30.08 DADI Travels: Winery Tour to Archil Guniava Wine Cellar

On Saturday, August 30, we’re heading to Imereti to visit in Kvaliti village, near Zestafoni.

Archil, from a family of winemakers, works side by side with his family to farm local Imeretian grapes and revive rare varieties like Mgaloblishvili. At the heart of their work is the old family marani, where wines are still made in buried qvevri, keeping Georgian traditions alive.

We’ll explore the vineyards, visit the marani, and taste a selection of Archil’s wines before sharing a homemade dinner with his family — an experience full of genuine warmth and hospitality.

17.08 DADI Travels: Winery Tour to Lapati Wines & Gabriel’s Wine

Next Sunday, August 17, we’re spending the day with two inspiring winemakers and dear friends - tasting their wines and pet-nats made from both Kakhetian and Kartli grapes, hearing their stories, and enjoying their hospitality.

Our first stop will be Sagarejo, Kakheti, at , founded by Vincent Jullien and Guillaume Gouerou. We’ll meet Vincent, tour the winery, and learn how he blends Georgian and French winemaking traditions. His wines are as full of character as he is, and time with him is always memorable and full of laughter.

Then we’ll travel to Gavarjmeba village, Kartli, home to . Gabriel, a long-time friend of DADI, has been an Orthodox monk since 1969 and has spent over 30 years working with vineyards, making wine, and blacksmithing. He is the embodiment of true craftsmanship and heartfelt warmth - qualities you can feel in both his workshop and his wines.

Cost: 290 GEL - includes transportation, winery visits, wine tasting at Lapati’s, and wine tasting plus dinner at Gabriel’s.

26.07 DADI Travels: A day with Kakhetian winemakers

Next Saturday, July 26, we’re heading to Kakheti to visit two inspiring winemakers — and spend the day enjoying their wines, stories, and company.

First, we head to Sagarejo to visit Lasha Khvedelidze of . Lasha is known for his full-bodied, expressive wines — bold, structured, and full of personality. His vineyard is located in the Kostaphé area, where the local conditions bring out fresh, distinctive flavours in Rkatsiteli and Mtsvane grapes. Lasha himself is just as remarkable — open, genuine, and always a pleasure to spend time with.

Then we head to Martkopi village to visit our dear friend Nino Chitoshvili of . Nino is a professional pianist who has transitioned into winemaking. She is also a vivid and warm person, and her home feels like a cosy reflection of Georgian heritage. At Nino’s, we’ll taste her wines and have a homemade Georgian dinner together.
