რესტორანი მდებარეობს აღმოსავლეთ საქართველოს მთიანეთში, მთიულეთში, საარაგვოში, ულამაზეს კუთხეში. ეს ადგილი ოდითგანვე იყო განთქმული როგორც თავისი სტუმართმოყვარეობით, ასევე მამაცი მეომრებით რადგან მშვიდობის შენარჩუნება თითქმის ყოველდღიური ბრძოლით უწევდა
თ, ამიტომ კარგ იარაღს აქ ყოველთვის სათანადოდ აფასებდნენ. აქ ისევე, როგორც მთელ საქართველოსა და კავკასიაში, ერთ- ერთ ყველაზე სანდო იარაღად ხმალი ,,გორდა" ითვლებოდა.
ამ ხმლის პირველი დამამზადებლის ვინაობა და წარმომავლობა უცნობია. ზოგიერთი წყაროს მიხედვით, ის ევროპელია. ხმლის ისტორიიდან, მის გარშემო არსებული ლეგენდებიდან ცხადია, რომ ეს იარაღი თანდათან სიმამაცის, ღირსების, სიამაყის გამოხატულებად იქცა. ტრადიციის თანახმად, ბრძოლებგადატანილ ხმალს ცოტა ხნით მიწაში მარხავდნენ და შემდეგ ისევ საბრძოლო იარაღად იყენებდნენ. ჩვენ გადავწყვიტეთ ხმალი,,გორდა" სამუდამოდ ჩაგვესო ამ კლდეში და ომის მრისხანე იარაღი მშვიდობის, ღირსების, კეთილმეზობლობისა და სტუმართმოყვარეობის სიმბოლოდ გვექცია. Restaurant is located mountainous area of Eastern Georgia called, Mtiuleti. It is a beautiful place located alongside the Aragvi River. Since ancient times, the people of this area were well known for their hospitality. They were also recognised as very good warriors because they had to participate in and endure battles almost every day as enemies tried to invade their land. So it is not surprising that good armour and weapons were highly valued and in demand. Their sword named ‘Gorda‘ was considered to be one of the most reliable of swords. It was not only recognised in this particular region - it was well known to the rest of Georgia and to the whole of the Caucasus. To this day, nobody could tell exactly who the sword’s first master was, where he was from or who created the sword. There are some indications from a few sourcesthat the sword could have been made by a swordsmith from elsewhere in Europe. Throughout centuries, many legends and stories have been conceivedabout ‘Gorda’. Through reading them, it is understood that the sword alsorepresents qualities such as bravery, dignity and pride. According to the tradition, after being used in a number of battles, the sword had to be buried for a time before it could be used again. We decided to recreate the sword, and embed it in this rock, as a symbol of the region’s rich history and many victories, and as an embodiment of dignity, unity and promise for the future.
